Stay ahead of pesky pests with alert system

Don’t you wish there was a way to prepare for the attack insects are about to launch on your garden? Well, Colorado State University has the answer: The Pest Alert Program.

The Pest Alert Program is a regional pest management program at Colorado State University Extension coordinated by regional pest management specialist in collaboration with state entomologists, plant pathologists, weed scientists and county agricultural agents.

The program has set out to:
b” Provide proactive pest management information including current pests, pest status and management options
b” Increase pest management knowledge and skills of growers
b” Improve scouting skills of individuals and agricultural businesses
b” Improve agricultural productivity and environmental quality
