Sustainable Settings, a non profit organization here in the Roaring Fork Valley is hosting their 9th Annual Harvest Festival in Carbondale from 4-9 pm this Saturday, September 1st. The Harvest Festival dinner helps to support Sustainable Settings,
“an entrepreneurial non-profit organization that inspires people and communities to embrace integrated solutions for sustainable development. To accomplish this mission we research, design and demonstrate whole-systems strategies in sustainable agriculture, green development, micro-enterprise, land stewardship and art for daily life.”
Check out their website for more info on the Harvest Festival and to make reservations. During the day Saturday from 10am to 4pm, Sustainable Settings is also hosting the Slow Money Rocky Mountain Regional Gathering. Slow Money is an emerging network of investors, donors, farmers and entrepreneurs committed to building local food economies. Definitely a concept worth engaging in. More info on the gathering is also available through Sustainable Settings. Hope to see you there!
