National Herbarium

Landscape Architecture Magazine published an article last year about a ‘crowdsource’ project instituted by the Smithsonian’s Museum of Natural History (NMNH).

Anyone with internet access can “view and transcribe data from specimens and contribute to the expansion of the herbarium’s collections database.”

The project is part of a world-wide effort to digitize natural history records. Information can be found at https://transcription.si.edu.
